Aromatherapy utilises essential oils, obtained by various processes, from the fruits, flowers, leaves, roots and stems of plants, in holistic treatments for physical and emotional well being. Natural oils are applied in various ways.
Aromatherapy is said to be an especially effective treatment for stress-related problems and some chronic conditions. Certain oils are contra-indicated for some conditions.
